Draz is described as a representation of a dragon.
I have grown up with a fascination of dragons throughout my lifetime, and I felt the identity of a dragon represents me as a producer, entity, brand, and person.
The 'Draz' typeform is a representation of sharp corners, sporatic, but still feeling bold, concise, and in-your-face. This is how I would love to represent myself visually, and have it connect with my music today.

NOVA SOLID
2014 - 2016
Stolen Belongings

This design was stolen from a designer who creates draconic logos from World of Warcraft. At the age of 16, I realized that it was illegal to use copyrighted material, so decided to immediately change my visual.

The Placeholder

I quickly racked up a simple, origami like design as a placeholder instead of copyrighted material. This gave me time to think about how I want to redesign my logo as complete, permanent, and timeless as possible.
2014 - 2017
Humble Beginnings
Nova Solid was a typeface that everyone started using at the time. I picked up on its font family because of how simple and consistent it looks. Diving further deeper into typography, I learned that the type itself has many problems.

2018-2020
Sad Dragon
As a final form logo of the dragon, hand-drawn. It took me a few months to come up with the hand-drawn logo I have. I tried to explore around different kinds of expressions for a mythological creature to emphasize its fantastical spirit in collaboration with humane touch.
I settled on a drawn, head-shot design of a sad dragon. The visualization of a sad dragon emotionally speaks to me, and really brings me peacefulness and a deep state of mind.
The visual identity of the sad dragon is no longer a part of the brand I would like to represent, so I retired the logo form in 2020.

2018-2023
Flows Like Water

The 'Draz' logo and type form is also an original design I made in 2018. The font family used is 'Salome', a art deco styled script font designed by Atipo. I've been a big fan of thick serif fonts, where elegancy, flow, and sharp consistency mixes gracefully with each other.

Understanding the importance of how people would love to look at my typeform, I decided to retire this brand to pave a new wave for a new Draz sound that could be represented visually.
