In January 2019, I joined HBO's Digital Social Media team for my first co-op. I was given responsibilities for various shows in HBO's website, HBOGO, and HBONOW. Projects include: email subscriptions, key-art cuts, sampling banners, video vectors, character cuts, and slideshows. In the period of my work, I learned a lot about discipline, trust, and time-management in the modern workspace.

Viewing Guide for New Watchers
I designed an email subscription preview for new watchers of Game of Thrones. I implemented an idea of a continuous transition towards the main layout to keep the show's design consistent in introducing each house to watchers.

I learned a lot in visually simplify the reader's perspective to not bore them with simple text and keep them at a certain level of interest.
DRAFTS
Character and Slideshow Cuts
I created character cuts and highlight slideshow for upcoming show Gentleman Jack. The cuts and slideshows are made in correlation to the show's whole mood and each episode's highlights. It is important to also have a similar sense of tone and brightness for the characters and highlights.

I worked with a lot of strict guidelines concerning cuts and certain tones and solved problems around them to create a cohesive slideshow highlight and good representation of characters.
Vector Assets
I drew and designed vectors based on an upcoming documentary series Chernobyl. I worked with three images to create Illustrator-friendly vectors from reference images. These vectors would be reflected on promotional videos for Chernobyl.

A majority of the references I used are from the image itself and how I could portray it into a cleaned form. I try to incapsulate the meaning behind each image and what it is trying to represent into each vector asset.
Various Promotion Assets
I helped in creating polygon vectors for a promotional mobile video. Each line is individually polygon drawn to help achieve the effect of pieces coming in together.

I spent a lot of hours in working the polygons, making sure that each one would make sense and connect to the image at hand. I also learned a lot about time management and organization while working on this project.
Sampling Banners
I created sampling banners, cutting characters and episode stills into promotional material.
I worked under specific guidelines and acceptable boundaries to showcase the shows and characters the most.
